Coach Pitch 8U  -  (CP 8U)

- Player age is 8 years old as of August 31 towards the end of the calendar year played

(Ex.- player must turn 8 years old by August 31 to be eligible for the CP 8U division) 

(7 year olds may be drafted into the 8U division at coaches discretion based on player parent consent)

- NO Registration FEE for Spring play

- Coaches pitch to each batter throughout each game

- Approximately 12 or more regular season games played on weeknights

- Plus opening day games plus playoff for division championship at end of season

- Score is kept as well as standings for the season

- (1) umpire per game provided

- Each player receives a jersey and team hat

- Teams are formed by player draft

- Typically 10-12 teams of 12 players per team make up the CP 8U division

- CP 8U games are normally played on Field #8 and sometimes on Fields #10 & #11

 

 

 

 

-All players in all divisions are required to wear batting helmets with face masks.  No player at any time while batting, on deck batting area, or base running is allowed to wear a helmet without a mask (Exception being with 11U and 12U players at families decision)

- CP 8U players playing the pitching position must also wear a batting helmet with mask while in that position

- CP 8U Participates under the Little League Sanction

- CP 8U does select ONE AllStar team to represent Lebanon in Little League Tournament play at the end of the season

- All CP 8U players are eligible to tryout in August each year for the Firebird Travel program after the league season  (more Firebird info can be found under the LYB Travel Select tab)
